Our meals and snacks are well balanced, making it easier to meet your body’s needs while managing your calorie intake. Huel also offers convenient portion control, helping you stay on track with your goals without compromising on nutrition.

Huel Black Edition is quick and easy to make. Simply add two level scoops (90g) to 500ml of cold water, then shake well for around 20 seconds. For a colder, more refreshing shake, you can add ice, and if you prefer a smoother texture, blending works great too.

Some Hueligans falso like to prepare it with milk or a plant-based milk instead of water for a creamier taste. eel free to experiment and find what you enjoy most!

Yes, Huel is vegan! There are no animal products in any of our product ranges.

No, Huel isn’t organic. We don’t create an organic version of our products for a couple of reasons. One of them is cost. Organic ingredients are far more expensive, and this doesn’t fit in with our mission to provide universally affordable, nutritionally complete food.

We state 'GMO-free' on the website because it's important to some consumers, whether you share the same view is another matter. In the UK and EU there are genetically modified corn and rapeseed varieties that are approved for use in foods, but we feel they offer no benefits for Huel in terms of cost, consumer acceptability, and several other factors. Therefore, Huel is GMO-free.

Concerns about GMOs should be made on an individual crop and technology basis, and it's important to read a variety of scientific sources to develop a better overall view of GMOs.

Most Huel products have a shelf life of 12 to 15 months from the date of production, but this can vary by product. For the most accurate information, please refer to the Best Before End (BBE) date printed on the packaging.

We aim to ship products with as much time remaining as possible before the BBE date, though this may depend on stock levels. Occasionally, you may receive an item with around 3 months of shelf life remaining. For single items (e.g. one bottle, bar, or meal pot), this may be as little as 1 month.

If you receive anything with a shorter shelf life than expected, please contact our team, we’re happy to help.

Some Huel products are currently only available in selected regions like the UK or US, where demand is highest. While there are no immediate plans to launch these specific items in Europe, we’re always exploring new opportunities and reviewing customer interest, so it may happen in the future.

We’d love for all of our packaging to be recyclable, but right now it’s not as simple as switching materials.

Today, our Ready-to-drink bottles and cans are recyclable across Europe, the US, and Japan. Our products in pouches and sachets are not currently recyclable.

We’ve tested recyclable pouch and sachet options before, but the solutions available don’t yet deliver the balance we need between sustainability, product protection, and customer experience.

First, recyclable flexible packaging is generally not as strong as the non-recyclable alternatives we currently use. Weaker packaging can lead to more damage in transit, which is the last thing we want for our customers. It also has a wider environmental impact. If damaged products need replacing, the carbon footprint of that product can increase significantly.

Second, recycling infrastructure for flexible plastics still isn’t developed enough. In practice, flexible plastics aren’t widely collected or processed in many recycling systems across Europe and the US, so even packaging designed to be recyclable may not actually be recycled.

Lastly, these materials currently don’t offer the quality and premium feel we want to deliver.

We regularly review new packaging materials as they become available, and we’ll continue pushing for solutions that better balance durability, recyclability, and overall sustainability.

Protecting the product properly matters too because for many foods, the carbon footprint of the product itself is significantly higher than that of its packaging.
